From Law to Logic

I spent six years as a Welfare Rights Adviser breaking down complex systems and fighting for the right outcomes. Now I build for the web. Same precision, different tools.

About me

I'm Carlos, a London-based frontend developer coming from an unusual direction.

For six years I worked as a Welfare Rights Adviser, using my law degree to help people navigate some of the most complicated bureaucratic systems imaginable. That job taught me to read carefully, argue precisely, and never stop pushing on a problem until it's solved.

Those skills transfer better than you'd think.

I started coding because I wanted to build things — real things, for real people. I'm currently working through a structured mentorship programme, applying everything I learn directly to projects rather than just following tutorials. This site is one of them.

I'm looking for a frontend developer role where I can bring both the technical skills I'm building and the professional habits I've spent years developing.

Based in London. Open to opportunities.
